Wallets and funding
Your BNB Chain wallet is your BRUNE account: no sign-up, no password, no custody. A Bitcoin wallet works too, through a custodial BTC account.
Supported wallets
BRUNE talks to BNB Chain wallets through EIP-6963, so every installed browser wallet appears in the connect menu automatically: MetaMask, Rabby, Binance Wallet, OKX Wallet, Trust Wallet and others. BRUNE asks your wallet to switch to BNB Smart Chain (chain ID 56) if it is on another network.
For Bitcoin, BRUNE supports Xverse (through Sats Connect), UniSat and OKX Wallet. You need one to bridge Runes to and from Bitcoin, to get invite rewards in BTC, or to use a BTC account.
How signing works
BRUNE prepares each transaction (a launch, a trade, a fee claim or a bridge request) and shows you what it does. Your wallet signs it and sends it to BNB Chain itself; BRUNE then checks the result on chain.
- With a BNB Chain wallet, BRUNE never sees your private key and cannot move your funds.
- BRUNE only accepts a transaction as yours when it matches what it prepared: sent from your wallet, to the expected contract, with the expected data and value. Anything else is refused.
- Sign-in messages (Sign-In with Ethereum, or BIP-322 for Bitcoin) send nothing and cost nothing.

BRUNE's BTCB is Binance-Peg BTC, contract 0x7130d2A12B9BCbFAe4f2634d864A1Ee1Ce3Ead9c, with 18 decimals. If you buy BTCB yourself, check the contract address first: other tokens use the same name.
Trading with only a Bitcoin wallet: BTC accounts
No BNB Chain wallet? Connect Xverse, UniSat or OKX Wallet and sign one free message (BIP-322). BRUNE opens a BTC account for that Bitcoin address:
- Deposit BTC. Your wallet sends BTC; it is converted to BNB through NEAR Intents (1Click) and credited to your account after 1 Bitcoin confirmation (3 for deposits above ₿0.01). Deposits are between $10 and ₿0.05.
- Trade and launch. Buy, sell and launch Runes from your balance, shown in BTC. Trades take about a second.
- Cash out. Instantly from BRUNE's BTC float, or directly through NEAR Intents, to your own Bitcoin payment address only. Up to ₿0.1 per account per day.
- Runes out and in. Have the Runes you buy delivered to your Taproot address on Bitcoin, or bring them back in.
