The form

FieldRulesNotes
ImageAny image: PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, AVIF and moreFitted automatically, never cropped and never refused for its size or detail. Large images are resized in your browser before upload. Only the small Bitcoin logo (256 × 256, at most 4 KiB) is compressed hard; your main image stays sharp. Animated images use their first frame.
NameUp to 32 bytesShown everywhere, locked at launch. Other Runes may use the same name.
Ticker2 to 10 letters or numbersStored in capitals. Other Runes may use the same ticker.
Description1 to 512 charactersStored in the token's metadata on IPFS and in the Bitcoin inscription.
X, TelegramOptional, https:// links
WebsiteOptional, an https:// linkLeave it empty and your Rune's BRUNE page becomes its website.
Dev buyRequired: at least 0.001 BNB, and less than what would complete the curveYour Rune's very first trade, paid in BNB and turned into BTCB in the same transaction that creates it, so you are always the first buyer. The form shows how many tokens you will get as you type (table).
Creator feesTo you, routed to others, or to holdersLocked at launch. See Creator fees.

By default Bitcoin assigns your Rune's name, the same way a chain assigns a contract address, or you can choose one (see below). Under Show more options you can also pick its Rune symbol: one character (a letter, a number or an emoji) that Bitcoin wallets show next to its amounts. Leave it empty and wallets show Bitcoin's generic sign ¤.

Your Rune's BNB Chain address ends in 7777

Every BRUNE Rune is a Flap tax token, and Flap gives every tax token a contract address (CA) that ends in 7777, like 0x9f3c…a41b7777. The address is created from a salt that BRUNE finds ahead of time and keeps in stock, so your launch never waits for it.

What you pay

Launching is free: BRUNE charges no platform fee. Before you approve, you see one price in BNB: your dev buy plus the Bitcoin cost of etching your Rune at the current Bitcoin fee rate and BTC price. Your wallet also pays BNB Chain gas for creating the token, its pool and its fee vault (about 8.6 million gas, typically well under 0.001 BNB). See Fees for the details.

The quote is valid for 10 minutes. If it expires before you approve, nothing is charged; simply start again.

After you approve

StepWhat happensTypical time
Trading on BNB ChainOne transaction through the BRUNE launcher creates the token on Flap, its fee vault, and makes your dev buy. BRUNE checks the token, its supply, its tax and its vault on chain. Trading opens.Seconds
Rune etchedBRUNE etches the Rune on Bitcoin with your image inscribed, paying for the next block, and checks every detail once it is in a block. Its Rune ID and link appear on the Rune page as soon as it is in a block. The next Bitcoin block (about 10 minutes, sometimes longer: Bitcoin blocks are irregular)
Final on BitcoinBRUNE waits for 6 Bitcoin confirmations. Your launch is complete.About an hour
Bridge onBRUNE registers the token with the bridge contract and links its Rune ID, once and forever. Holders can now move it 1:1 between BNB Chain and Bitcoin from the Rune page.A minute after final

Trading on BNB Chain never waits for Bitcoin: your Rune trades from the first second.

Choosing a Rune name

Prefer a name of your own, like DOGE•ON•BTC? Pick Choose a name on the form. The form checks the name on Bitcoin as you type: it must be free, and long enough for what Bitcoin has unlocked so far.

  1. You approve a first transaction that pays the Bitcoin cost and reserves your coin's address on Flap (Flap charges 0.01 BNB for that), so the coin you launch later is exactly the one the name was sealed for.
  2. BRUNE seals the name in a Bitcoin block, hidden so nobody can see and snipe it (about 10 minutes, sometimes longer).
  3. You get Ready for launch (and a browser notification). One click launches your coin on BNB Chain with your dev buy.
  4. The Rune is etched with your name once the seal has 6 confirmations, about an hour after you reserved it.

Every BRUNE Rune has a website in its metadata, which wallets, explorers and trading terminals display. If you do not provide one, BRUNE uses your Rune's own page, https://www.brune.tech/rune/<CA>, in both the token metadata and the Bitcoin inscription.
