Introduction
BRUNE is the way to trade Bitcoin Runes at BNB Chain speed. One form, one wallet approval, a real Rune on Bitcoin that trades in about a second.
What BRUNE is
BRUNE is a launchpad for Bitcoin Runes. You give your Rune a name, a ticker and an image, approve one transaction in your BNB Chain wallet, and BRUNE does the rest:
- Your Rune starts trading on BNB Chain right away, on a Flap bonding curve priced in Bitcoin (BTCB). BNB Chain is the liquidity and speed layer: a block every half second, trades confirmed in about a second.
- BRUNE etches it as a real Rune on Bitcoin, with your image inscribed on chain, and pays the Bitcoin fees for you.
- Once the Rune is final, the bridge opens: holders can move it 1:1 between BNB Chain and Bitcoin.
You never touch Bitcoin, never manage a second wallet and never wait for a block to start trading. All you need is BNB: Runes are priced in Bitcoin, and your BNB is converted to BTCB inside the same transaction. Only have Bitcoin? Sign in with a Bitcoin wallet and use a BTC account.
Why it exists
Runes were supposed to be Bitcoin's memecoins. But Bitcoin confirms a block about every ten minutes, and memecoins are traded in seconds. BRUNE keeps every Rune a real Rune on Bitcoin and moves the trading to BNB Chain, where it takes about a second. Read the full story in Why we built BRUNE.
Backed 1:1
The full Rune supply sits on Bitcoin at the coin's own 2-of-2 custody address: moving it needs BRUNE and an independent co-signer on the Internet Computer, so neither can move it alone (check any coin yourself). The only way tokens move between chains is through the bridge vault:
Every coin shows where its supply is, live: bridged to Bitcoin (the Rune in holders' Bitcoin wallets) and on BNB Chain (the tokens, backed by the Rune held in custody). A coin starts 100% on BNB Chain; every bridge to Bitcoin moves the split.
The rules every BRUNE Rune follows
| Supply | 1,000,000,000, fixed forever. Minted once at creation; the token has no mint function |
| Decimals | 18 on BNB Chain, divisibility 18 on Bitcoin: 1 token = 1 Rune, to the last unit |
| Name, ticker, image | Locked at launch |
| Rune name | Reserved, assigned by Bitcoin, like a CA (why) |
| Price | In BTC (BTCB), on a Flap bonding curve |
| Trading tax | 1% on buys and sells, fixed at launch, never raised; it pays creators, holders and BRUNE |
| Graduation | At ₿0.156 raised, into a PancakeSwap V2 pool whose liquidity is burned forever |
Where to go next
- Why we built BRUNE: Bitcoin is slow, memecoins are not.
- Bringing Runes back: no market, no metadata, and how BRUNE changes both.
- Quickstart: launch and trade your first Rune in five minutes.
- Rune names are addresses: why two Runes can share a name on BRUNE.
- Creator fees: how you earn from your Rune, and how to claim.
- Fees: every cost, in one table.
- Security: what BRUNE, Flap and Binance can and cannot do.
