Bonding curve and graduation

How a BRUNE coin is priced from its first trade, and what happens when it graduates.

The curve

Every BRUNE coin starts on Flap's BTCB bonding curve. A bonding curve is a pool that always quotes a price: buying moves the price up, selling moves it down, and there is always liquidity to trade against. No order book, no market maker and no listing are needed.

All BRUNE coins use the same curve, so every launch is identical and fair:

Sold on the curve80% of the supply
Reserved for the graduated pool20% of the supply
Price from first buy to graduationAbout 13×
Graduation threshold₿0.156 raised on the curve
Market cap at the startAbout ₿0.054
Market cap at graduationAbout ₿0.7

Priced in BTC

The curve is priced in BTCB, so the graduation point is set in Bitcoin: ₿0.156 (… at the live BNB/BTC price). Its size in BNB moves with the BNB/BTC price: when BTC gets more expensive against BNB, each BNB buys a little less of a new coin, and the other way around.

What a dev buy gets

The dev buy is the coin's very first trade, at the curve's lowest price. Fees included:

Dev buyIn BNB nowTokens you getShare of the supply
₿0.0001…about 1.8 million0.18%
₿0.001…about 17.8 million1.8%
₿0.005…about 83.6 million8.4%
₿0.01…about 156 million15.6%
₿0.02…about 273 million27.3%
₿0.05…about 498 million49.8%

The more you buy, the higher the price climbs, so each extra BTC gets fewer tokens. The create form shows the exact amount for your dev buy as you type, and that is what you receive: nobody can trade the coin before the launch transaction, which makes the dev buy in the same transaction.

Graduation

When the curve holds ₿0.156, the coin graduates. In the same transaction, Flap moves the raised BTCB and the reserved 20% of the supply into a PancakeSwap V2 pool, and trading continues there.

  • You keep trading it on BRUNE, on its coin page: BRUNE routes every buy and sell to that pool, with BNB, BTCB or a BTC account.
  • The pool's liquidity is burned: the LP tokens are sent to a dead address, so nobody, including the creator, BRUNE and Flap, can ever withdraw it.
  • The coin's 1% tax keeps working on the pool, with the same split: creators, recipients and holders keep earning after graduation (for 100 years from graduation).
  • Graduated trades pay PancakeSwap's 0.25% pool fee plus the tax: 1.25% in all.

Why a fixed curve

A single public curve means there is no presale, no team allocation and no way to launch on special terms. The creator's only head start is the dev buy (at least 0.001 BNB), made at the same price anyone would pay as the first trader, inside the launch transaction. Everyone can see how much the creator bought: it is the first trade of every coin.
