Privacy Policy

BRUNE has no sign-up and asks for no name, email or phone number. This policy explains the little we do process, operated by the operator of BRUNE. Most of what you do on BRUNE is recorded on public blockchains, which nobody, including us, can erase.

1. What we process

  • Public addresses and transactions. Your BNB Chain and Bitcoin addresses, and the transactions you make through BRUNE. These are public on chain; we index them to show balances, trades, fees and rewards.
  • Signatures. Messages you sign to sign in (Sign-In with Ethereum, BIP-322), to set a payout address or to create an invite code. They prove control of an address and send nothing.
  • Coin content. The image, name, ticker, description and links of coins you launch. They are published on IPFS, BNB Chain and Bitcoin.
  • BTC accounts. Your Bitcoin addresses, deposits, trades, cash-outs, Rune deliveries and the BNB Chain wallet we hold for you, plus a session token stored in your browser.
  • Invites. Your invite code, an anonymous count of visits to your link, and which wallets joined through it.
  • GitHub. If you link GitHub to receive routed fees: your GitHub user ID and login, and the wallet you linked it to. We request no other GitHub scope.
  • Technical data. Your IP address, used in memory for rate limiting and in short-lived server logs for security and debugging.

2. Cookies and browser storage

We use no advertising or analytics trackers. Your browser stores, on your device only:

  • brune:btc-wallet and brune:btc-account: the Bitcoin wallet you connected and your BTC account session;
  • brune:ref: the invite code you arrived with;
  • brune:coins-view: whether you prefer the grid or the list;
  • your wallet library's own connection state (wagmi);
  • a cookie that lasts 10 minutes while you link GitHub, to protect the sign-in from forgery.

3. Why we process it

To provide the service you ask for (launches, trades, the bridge, BTC accounts and payouts), to keep it secure and prevent abuse, to meet legal obligations such as sanctions screening and record keeping for custodial balances, and to show public statistics.

4. Who else processes it

We share data only as needed to run BRUNE, with:

  • our hosting, database and logging providers;
  • Turnkey, which holds BRUNE's operational keys and the wallets of BTC accounts;
  • NEAR Intents (1Click) and THORChain, which convert BTC and BNB for deposits, cash-outs and payouts;
  • Flap and Pinata, which store coin images and metadata on IPFS;
  • BNB Chain RPC providers, Bitcoin indexers and fee estimators such as mempool.space;
  • the Internet Computer, which runs the custody co-signer;
  • GitHub, if you link a GitHub account.

On the verify page your browser contacts the Internet Computer, mempool.space and ordinals.com directly, so they see your IP address. We do not sell personal data.

5. How long we keep it

  • Blockchain data is permanent and public; our index of it is kept while BRUNE operates.
  • BTC account records are kept for as long as the law requires for custodial balances, then deleted.
  • Server logs with IP addresses are deleted after 30 days.
  • A GitHub link is kept until you ask us to remove it.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export personal data we hold, and to object to or restrict its use. We cannot change or delete anything written to a blockchain or IPFS. To exercise a right, email us from a signed message or with proof of the address concerned.
